BUYER & CELLAR opens March 10th!

Farmers Alley Theatre is proud to present our next play at the Little Theatre on Oakland Drive, a hilarious one-man show about an out-of-work actor who takes a most unique job working for a very “Funny Girl”.  BUYER AND CELLAR by Jonathan Tolins is one of the hottest titles in the country, and Farmers Alley is so excited to bring back actor Lee Slobotkin to Kalamazoo to take on this one-of-a-kind play that The New York Times called, “Irresistible, delicious and wickedly funny!” and The Washington Post called, ”A smash hit!”

We’ve all had some odd jobs in our life.  But Alex More, an underemployed actor living in Los Angeles, might have just found the oddest.  That’s because Alex just took a job working in the basement of Barbra Striesand’s palatial Malibu home. During his time working for Babs, Alex forms an often hilarious and sometimes heartfelt bond with everyone’s favorite Funny Girl.  Called “The most talked about new comedy of the season” by The New York TimesBUYER & CELLAR is a one-man tour-de-force is so “like butta” you might just be “verklempt”.

BUYER & CELLARwill star the multi-talented Lee Slobotkin, fresh off of his run as Boq in the National Tour of the Wicked.  Farmers Alley audiences will remember Lee from his memorable turn as the geeky Eugene in our popular production of Life Could Be a Dream.  Our Executive Director, Adam Weiner, will lead the production as its director.  Adam’s previous directorial credits at Farmers Alley include I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Superior Donuts, All in the Timing, Speech & Debate, Escanaba in Love and our inaugural production of A Few Good Men.

BUYER & CELLARruns March 10th through the 19th – for just two weekends only!  Tickets are $30 on Fri/Sat/Sun and $25 on Thursdays.  Seniors 65 and above receive $2 off per ticket.  Reservations can be made by calling our Box Office at (269) 343-2727 or visiting
