Welcome to our fifth episode of Tech Tuesday! We're so excited to have composer, musician, film enthusiast, frontman of local band Basic Comfort, and Farmers Alley sound designer Tony Mitchell, as well as Alex Tobin, former Farmers Alley sound designer turned NYC-based audio engineer who worked as an audio systems technician at the 2019 USTA US Open and 2020 Lena Horne Prize.
Join host Carrie Phillips to talk about creating original sound for our 2019 production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, the most fun they've ever had on the job, and just how much work it takes to design a show or produce an album!

Guests Peter Riopelle and James Sanford (our production of 1776) along with Ryan Vasquez (Broadway’s HAMILTON) will answer some tough questions about both of these historical shows like “What’s the most powerful lyric in HAMILTON?”, as well as pitch their own original American musicals. Welcome to our second episode of The Koch Korner! We are thrilled to have one of Farmers Alley Theatre’s veteran actresses, Elizabeth Swearingen. Elizabeth has a BA from CUNY - Hunter College and a Master of Arts from NYU! She has starred in three Farmers Alley Theatre productions: as “Lisa” in Collected Stories, as “Laura” in The Glass Menagerie and as “Sally Bowles” in Cabaret. Elizabeth is a true artist and works across many disciplines including as a playwright and drama therapist. Swearingen also is a registered teaching artist in New York State and focuses on therapeutic alternative learning elements of theater to enhance a student's creativity, self-esteem and overall educational experience.
