NEW! An Important Message From Farmers Alley

The Lost In Yonkers Family

Mar 12, 2020 |

To our valued patrons,

After long and careful discussions on how to best serve our audience and community right now amidst the COVID-19 crisis, Farmers Alley Theatre has decided that the best way forward is to cancel performances to LOST IN YONKERS and BALLOONACY during the month of March.

While we are extremely saddened and frustrated by this state of affairs, the board and staff of Farmers Alley want to be as proactive as possible in mitigating the damage this virus is causing our community, and public health officials have recommended that gatherings, no matter how large or small, be limited or eliminated as soon as possible.

With Broadway theaters going dark today until April 12 and many local theaters and educational institutions closing or canceling their current productions, we feel responsible in following the advice of our health professionals and protect our number one priority: our audience. We could not in good conscience put on a performance where our patrons or workers could potentially expose themselves to harm.

Of course, we are disappointed not to be able to share all the hard work our actors, designers and directors have put forth – but some things are bigger than a production or two. We want everyone to stay safe and take precautions to protect yourselves and loved ones.

For patrons with tickets to either of these events we are offering the following options:

-For subscribers, your tickets will go back on your season subscription and can be allocated to any future Farmers Alley Theatre production.

     -For single ticket buyers:

*We will offer credit in the dollar amount spent towards a future Farmers Alley Theatre event.

*If you have the means, your purchase can be turned into a tax-deductible donation. This will help both defray financial loss and pay our salaried employees.

As we stated yesterday, these are overwhelming times. But the theatre community is one of the most understanding, loving, giving communities out there, and we will get thru this together.

We look forward to seeing you at the theatre for a future performance and we will continue to give progress and updates as to when our next productions will take place.

Thank you and see you at the theatre! (Hopefully in April or May)
