We are delighted to open our 19th Season with a brand-new comedy by the same playwright who wrote and directed our Season 18 hit, A JUKEBOX FOR THE ALGONQUIN: Izzy’s husband Freddy was a history buff with one dream: a full-scale reenactment of The Michigan-Ohio War. But when a bizarre papier-mâché accident leaves Izzy a widow, this Michigan Matriarch calls on her Wolverine daughter and Buckeye son to see Freddy’s vision realized. Historical becomes hysterical as they clash over everything from tofu to Toledo to goal posts to Gordon Lightfoot. Don’t miss this award-winning comedy about family, football and the fight for the Toledo strip.

The World Premiere of MY MOTHER AND THE MICHIGAN/OHIO WAR was presented by the Purple Rose Theatre Company. Jeff Daniels- Artistic Director, Katie Hubbard- Managing Director. The production was directed by Susan Angelo.

The American Sign Language interpreted performance is on Saturday, October 3rd at 7:30pm.
