Adored by millions, Judy Garland wowed us from the time she was a teenager in pigtails singing “Over the Rainbow,” to her legendary 1961 come-back Carnegie Hall concert in what The New York Times called, “the concert of the century.” Set both on the stage of Carnegie Hall and in Garland’s mind, Beyond the Rainbow simultaneously treats its audience to the famed concert while telling the life story of one of Hollywood’s most unforgettable legends.

In the final scene of Henrik Ibsen’s groundbreaking masterwork of 1879, A Doll’s House, wife and mother Nora Helmer makes the shocking decision to leave her husband and children, and begin a life on her own.  This climactic event – when Nora slams the door on everything in her life – instantly propelled world drama into the modern age.In A Doll’s House, Part 2 (the brand-new Tony winning sequel from 2017), many years have passed since Nora’s exit.  Now, there’s a knock on that same door.  Nora has returned.  But why?  And what will it mean for those she left behind?  A Doll’s House, Part 2 is a sequel that stands perfectly well on its own.  From playwright Lucas Hnath (The Christians), it delivers explosive laughs while also posing insightful questions about marriage, gender inequality, and human rights.

It’s 1969 and The Marvelous Wonderettes are back to throw a retirement party for their favorite teacher, set to the greatest girl-group hits of the 60’s (“Gimme Some Lovin”, “It’s Your Thing”).  Act Two finds the girls back together as the class of 1958 celebrates their 20-year reunion. A new evening of original songs by Jeremiah Downes starring Madge Dietrich (Kinky Boots) and Evan Gallagher-Frace (Winner of NYC Rising Star 2 at RISE NYC) with performances by Logan Dolence, Joriah Fleming, Matthew Lanyi, Alyssa Meeuwsen and Cara Palombo.

Jeremiah’s songs have been performed by artists from the worlds of Broadway and commercial music. His work as songwriter includes Highways & Daydreams, the musical adaptation of Richard Donner’s 1992 film Radio Flyer, Dancing As Fast As We Can and Seven.Highways & Daydreams has enjoyed multiple performances at the Biello Martin Studio in Philadelphia and The Duplex in NYC. Most recently, Jeremiah’s New Songs was presented at the Biello Martin Studio this past spring.

Scott Moreau, star and director of our production of Million Dollar Quartet, is thrilled to return to Farmers Alley Theatre with his very own spotlight series concert, Late and Alone: An Intimate Portrait of Johnny Cash. Using anecdotes from his autobiography, multiple interviews, and live concerts, Scott tells Johnny’s story with his own words and songs. Featuring more than 20 songs from Johnny’s 40+ years in the music business, Scott creates stripped down look into the life of this American icon.
